General Senior Support

Peninsula Agency on Aging, Inc. (PAA)
Based in Newport News, the PAA is a 501(c)3 non-profit promoting policies and resources to enhance the quality of life for seniors and their caregivers. Their services include the delivery of hot meals to homebound seniors age 60 and up who are unable to prepare meals; congregate meals at dining centers for seniors age 60 and over; information clearinghouse services providing information to older adults and caregivers free of charge; coordinating care services and long-term or in-home care; medical transportation; insurance counseling, and caregiver support.

Peninsula Aging and Disability Resource Network (PADRN)
PADRN is a regional service that serves as a clearinghouse of resources for older people. Their website is designed to be easily accessed and used by an older person. PADRN has an Advisory Council represented by local public and private services that vets listings as having met certain criteria for participating and commit to a code of ethics.

Senior Services Coalition of Greater Williamsburg
The Coalition is a collaborative effort of organizations and individuals to promote a healthier and more livable community for older adults in the Williamsburg community. The Coalition’s primary services include providing information to seniors and caregivers as well as hosting senior employment events and training sessions for caregivers.
